This is the kind of book that defies plot summaries. In fact, generally I find that book reviews tend to be better when a little more on the sparse side of plot details. But a few details here and there to give the review structure is best. So how to approach a review for a book like this, where there is no real overarching plot structure?

Toriko and Rin pass through the Devil's Playground, where each path leads to a new stage, where a boss battle waits. Toriko tries to find the easiest way through, but in his weakened state battles that would normally be easily won are sapping his strength. Making up for her mess up with the battle fragrance in the arena, and against the Rock Drum, Rin takes out an Axe Ox that Toriko can't beat. She even helps fighting against the next boss.
Turns out the ghoul attack was just an exam, now Rin and his classmates are all wondering if they did well enough to pass. But Yukio can't help but wonder, Neuhaus was acting a little too realistically, like he was really trying to kill Rin.
Happy and Charle run away from the Exceed royal guards, and find themselves harbored by an exiled farmer and his wife. They find out about how the Queen stole a hundred eggs from Exceed couples, and sent them off to Earthland. The farmer couple lost an egg that way as well. Oh yeah, and they look like this:
