Grunkle Stan shows Dipper, Mabel, and Soos the Bottomless Pit. While using it to throw away things they don’t need, they all fall into the pit. So what do the four do to pass the time?

Editorials: Darth Vader to Return?

Well then, the Star Wars rumor mill has certainly taken a spin for the worse. According to my highly reliable internet sources Vader might be returning for the new movies. A quote from an unnamed source states that:

“He’s an integral part of the franchise. Replacing him is virtually impossible. The plan is for him to return and play a significant role in the new films. This is science fiction remember, Darth Vader will rise from the ashes.”

While that is a valid point, few things are outside the realm of possibility in science fiction and fantasy, what this quote reveals is a lack of understanding of the Star Wars franchise. The first six movies were very much Anakin's story, from his fall to his redemption. Bringing Vader back, after his story was concluded, reveals that not only is the crew in charge of the new movies not confident enough in their own ideas, but they are willing to dig up resolved plot lines to cover up that lack of confidence.

I am almost confident that bringing Vader back into the game could be the game breaker for this new trilogy. Or, I've got a bad feeling about this.

When twins Dipper and Mabel are dropped off at their Great Uncle Stan's home, in the town of Gravity Falls, Dipper discovers a book that reveals there is more to the quiet little town than either he or his sister had suspected. What follows is eleven episodes of supernatural adventures, from zombies, sea monsters, psychics, time travelers, and even presidential intrigue.

Movie Reviews: Brave

Me and Pixar have been playing a game for the past few years. I go to the theater expecting every new movie of theirs to be the first bad one, and they continue to prove me wrong. Ignoring Cars 2, which I did not go see because it would have felt like cheating on my part, is this the one where I finally win?

I wouldn't really call it winning, because I love Pixar and don't want to see them begin their descent from the lofty throne of excellence they have inhabited for most of my life. Fortunately Brave is not the movie that begins the downfall of Pixar. At least I don't think it is.

Brave is the story of Merida and her relationship with her mother. After some mystical doohickery they go off on an epic quest to right wrongs and keep their kingdom from falling into ruin. It's very different from Pixar's prior endeavors.
