 Mashiro practices developing characters for a battle manga by practicing drawing characters from other manga.  At the same time Nizuma decides he wants to serialize an earlier manga, Crow, instead of the one that was scheduled to be serialized.

After Jellal sets the self destruct spell on Nirvana, and on himself, the episode begins with Erza refusing to let him die, telling him that he still has to repent for his sins.  Brain shows up and reveals that the spell Jellal used was one of Brain's own invention, and that it was he that taught it to Jellal in the first place.  Brain uses a backdoor he built into the spell and deactivates it, while leaving the one on Jellal intact.  After doing so he unleashes Nirvana's final form.

Anime Reviews: Bakuman Episode 13 - Early Results and The Real Deal

Apologies for the lack of a title card.  For some reason there wasn't on for this episode.

Miyoshi finally manages to convince Mashiro to send an email to Azuki.  He spends an entire night obsessing over getting the wording just right.  When he sends the email Azuki replies almost immediately with a much smaller email.  The scene is pretty funny, and kind of cute.  Especially as a nostalgic kind of feeling, looking back on worrying excessively over saying something stupid to the one that you like.  Trust me, I know all about saying stupid things.

Manga Reviews: Genkaku Picasso Volume 1

Merry Christmas to all, now have a very unchristmasy magna review.  I actually got my copy of this manga from the wonderful Katherine Dacey, at The Manga Critic (I'm not brown-nosing, I just like people who give me manga).  So I guess the fact is that this manga was a gift, and giving gifts is christmasy.  So without further ado, enjoy.

 After beating Angel, Lucy makes her way over to Natsu to help him off the raft.  Unfortunately Angel still isn't beaten, but her attack misses as Caelum betrays her as well in favor of Lucy.  However, the attack blows away the rocks blocking the raft Natsu is stuck on, and he starts drifting down the river.

Mashiro and Takagi meet with Hattori to go out to eat, in celebration of getting published.  They eat BBQ, and then go back to the office to go over their name, frame by frame.

While trying to catch up to Natsu, they worry that Natsu's rage will turn him evil.  Hibiki says that anger for someone else isn't such a negative emotion, and that it shouldn't turn Natsu evil.  Though both Lucy and Happy think that it wouldn't make much of a difference to his personality even if he did turn.

Anime Reviews: Bakuman Episode 11 - Chocolate and NEXT!

Nizuma's editor, Yujiro, visits Nizuma's new apartment to see how he's doing.  He finds Nizuma blasting music on his new stereo system, and tells him to turn it down, or he's going to bug the neighbors.  He comes to pick up the manga he's working on, and realizes that it wasn't what they had been discussing.  Still, he takes it rather than arguing, and asks Nizuma if he can get a one shot done for the beginning of next year, for NEXT!
